The Reality of the Family Grid

The modern family calendar isn't broken because you're disorganized. It's broken because your data is scattered across separate islands.

The Email Inundation

School schedules, swimming class rotas, and event notifications pile up in your inbox, requiring constant manual translation into time slots.

Time to sync

The kids are in bed and instead of relaxing you're aligning multiple work and school diaries, you need a hand to automate routines and clarify who's on base.

The Mental Spreadsheet

Who's collecting who, whose turn for snacks, what's due Friday — it all lives as an invisible spreadsheet only you can read. HelperSkelter takes over that sheet, so it's not just in your head.

How HelperSkelter Solves It

The platform combines advanced AI orchestration with a lightweight interface to make scheduling friction disappear.

Core Use Case

The "Forward and Forget" Triage

Received a messy text block or a detailed timetable email for a school club? Simply forward it straight to your private HelperSkelter chat.

  • Parses dates, times, and descriptions instantly.
  • Sends a calendar invite — your own calendar shows you straight away if it clashes with anything.
  • Sends a structured approval card to your Telegram screen before writing.

Family Sync

Spot the Gaps Before They Become a Crisis

Every event goes out as an invite to everyone it's relevant to, so both parents' diaries move together instead of drifting apart. HelperSkelter keeps an eye on the whole picture and speaks up the moment something's uncovered.

  • Invites every relevant carer, so nobody's diary is the odd one out.
  • Flags recurring commitments — school run, pickups — that nobody's covering yet.
  • Raises it in the family group chat, not buried in one person's inbox.

I've checked next week — Wednesday's nursery pickup has no one assigned. Mum's got a clash at 15:00 and Dad hasn't responded to the invite.

Shall I block out 16:00 - 18:30 on both calendars?

Tracking birthdays

Don't miss another birthday or panic over last-minute gifts.

Remember Leo's birthday is October 14th, he loves space Lego.

Tracked! Added Leo's Birthday (Annual recurring) to the calendar

Reminder: I've set an alert for 10 days prior (Oct 4th) so you have time to buy or order space-themed gifts!

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about setting up and running your automated family grid.

How do I add other family members?

Invite them straight from the app — no group chat or bot setup required. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the app and go to Settings → Family.
  2. Enter your partner, caregiver, or older child's email address and send the invite.
  3. They'll get an email with a link to join your family — once they sign up, they're straight in.

💡 Why this works best: Everyone you invite shares the same family calendar and daily briefing, so requests or gaps (e.g. "nobody is on pick-up tomorrow") are visible to the whole family, not buried in one person's inbox.

Which calendar providers are supported?

Any calendar that accepts standard email invites — Google Calendar, Apple iCloud, and Microsoft Outlook/Office 365 all work out of the box. HelperSkelter never connects to or reads these accounts; it just sends the invite to whichever address you give it. Just add your email e.g. "add my work email dad@fartoobusy.com".

Is our family data kept private and secure?

What we store: the event details you forward or type (dates, times, locations, descriptions), the email addresses and templates you set up, and your chat history with the bot.

How long we keep it: for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your data is deleted within 90 days.

Who can see it: only you and the family members you've added to your Telegram group. HelperSkelter staff don't access your data except to investigate a bug you've reported.

Calendars: we never connect to or read your Google, Outlook, or iCloud diary. We only send standard calendar invites — the same as any person would.

AI models: your family's data is never used to train AI models, public or private, and is never sold or used for advertising.

Hosting: your data is hosted and processed in the UK, in line with UK GDPR.

Why are my emails ignored?

Have you added the email to your account? Try add my personal email mum@thecircus.com

Why do you not support WhatsApp?

Because Meta don't allow bots in group chats.
